The Willow School is an independent elementary day school in New Jersey, known for the emphasis is places on the excellence in education, ethics and ecology. As a pioneer, it is recognized as the first New Jersey elementary school to introduce sustainability into education as a curriculum. It’s LEED-certified buildings include one that is classified as a Living Building, which is used as a learning laboratory for curiosity, exploration and discovery.
Charged with strengthening The Willow School’s messaging and visibility, to attract more students, quality teachers and funding, CDPR conducted a full-service plan.
CDPR made arrangements for dozens of media interviews and secured luncheons and tours of the school to showcase it with key influencers at outlets including The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic and Forbes magazine.
Planned groundbreaking ceremonies and announcements on new buildings and its annual fundraising Gala, and secured extensive coverage.
CDPR composed press kits, authored and published stories in lead media outlets such as The Washington Post and Environmental D+C.
Developed Corporate Social Responsibility campaign to help increase funding.
Forged editorial relationships within key media influencers and secured placements in top-tier national and local outlets and lead, national education trades. Placements included The Star Ledger, National Geographic, Town & Country, The Wall Street Journal.com, Forbes.com, and a full 10 minute television segment on the Travel Channel in a Sustainable Building special.
CDPR established The Willow School’s founders as pioneers in education and role models in education and sustainability. CDPR strengthened its messaging through exponential media attention and created awareness among the philanthropic and investment press.
Secured recognition for The Willow School from the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) through expansive four-page feature story, “Helping to lead the way for sustainability in education” in its magazine.
